All of our ceiling panels measure 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' and cover 4 sq. ft. and 8 sq. ft. respectively.

What size patterns do you have?

We offer 6", 12" and 24" patterns within the 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' format. 6" pattern tiles repeat 16 times per panel, 12" patterns repeat 4 times per tin panel. 24" patterns do not repeat.

What types of vinyl tiles do you offer?

We offer the following different types of vinyl ceiling panels.

  • Drop-In: Used in standard 2'x2' or 2'x4' suspended ceiling grid systems with 15/16" or 9/16" wide rails.
  • Drop-In Acoustic: Used in standard 2'x2' suspended ceiling grid systems with either a NRC .85 or a NRC .50 rating. Includes the Soniguardâ„¢ Drop Ceiling Insulation for its acoustical properties.
  • Refacing: Used in standard 2'x2' or 2'x4' suspended ceiling grid systems as lay-under panels where you want to leave your existing mineral fiber tiles in place.
  • Glue-up: Uses adhesive to glue the panels directly to the ceiling or wall. For Glue-up (Overlapping Joint), the panels overlap for a seamless installation and can be used on walls and ceilings. For Glue-up (Butt Joint), the panels butt next to each other and require either Decorative or Smooth Strips to cover the seams. This type of Glue-up panel is recommended for ceiling only.

Prices differ based on size, collection, and finish. You can find pricing listed on every product page.

Why is vinyl ceiling tile preferred over mineral fiber board tile?

Vinyl is resistant to staining, spotting, swelling, peeling, rotting, and rusting. It uses 75% less raw material to manufacture than mineral fiber board ceiling tiles, and is five times more efficient to ship. It is easy and flexible to install.

Will vinyl ceiling tiles improve my acoustics?

Most ceiling tiles do have an impact on acoustics. For instance, most suspended ceilings have an NRC rating of 0.05-0.55. Our thermoformed tiles come in at NRC 0.25-0.45. When you combine our perforated acoustic tiles with Soniguard acoustic insulation, the NRC rating is as high as 0.85.

Can vinyl tiles be installed in wet or high humidity locations?

Vinyl is 100% waterproof and can be installed in wet environments. They do not absorb moisture, stain, mold, or mildew.

Cleaning & Maintenance

How do you care for vinyl tiles?

Warm water and a soft cloth is all that's needed to clean your vinyl tiles. You can use a mild detergent if needed. Simply wipe, rinse, and dry.

Where can I find out about your policies?

You can read about all our policies in the Resource section of our website.

Can I paint my vinyl tiles?

You can paint vinyl tiles. Keep in mind that doing so will void all fire ratings and certifications, and will void the warranty. Do not use harsh chemicals such as paint thinners or cleaners directly on the vinyl.

Installation

How are vinyl tiles installed?

Different types of vinyl panels have different installation methods.

  • Drop-In tiles are simply placed in a grid suspended from the ceiling.
  • Refacing tiles are laid under existing mineral board ceiling tiles.
  • Glue-Up tiles are installed by placing adhesive around the perimeter and center of the tile then pressing into the surface with medium-firm pressure.

Visit the Resources section on Installation for more information.

Can I use vinyl ceiling tile on the backsplash?

Kitchen backsplashes receive a lot of abrasive cleaning that can damage the finish on vinyl tiles. Due to this, we do not recommend our tiles for backsplashes.

Can you put tin tiles in a bathroom or basement?

Yes. Vinyl is 100% waterproof and is the ideal material for a bathroom or the basement. Please note that our vinyl tiles will not constitute a moisture barrier, so areas that require one will need one applied before the vinyl tiles are installed.

How do I cut and trim tiles?

Installing partial tiles along the border areas of the ceiling is simple. Just mark, cut with snips or scissors, then install as usual. Be sure to select appropriate tiles for the borders. Cutting off an ornate pattern can end up looking less than handsome so consider a pattern that has a smaller repeating pattern to complete your borders. Learn more
